Replacing Valve Stem Seals With Head On 850

1996 855 N/A burning oil.

Oil problem appears to be valve guide/seals.

I am not familiar with the valve/seal arrangement on an 850, but has anyone done a valve stem seal replacement with the head in-place?

I've done this with other engines--put the crank at BDC for that cylinder, pressurize the cylinder, and carefully work the retainer loose to free the collets and the valve springs, then replace the seals and reassemble.

Anyone have success using this method?
