Stalling at highway speed 850

Please help! 1994 840 sport wagon, 156,000 miles bought used. stalls at highway speed and the engine sputters at 1000 rpm and below, idiot lights flicker. Fuel pump appears ok, new wires, cap/rotor. plugs within 15K miles.
Pulled code 3-2-4 from socket 2 or 6(CMP sensor signal sporadic). is this volvos HALL sensor. Is it difficult to replace, could this be causing my problem.

5th volvo i have owned, first problem.... I can't figur it out.....
