volvo left auto tranny fluid low - what sould i do??? 850

volvo did a auto tranny flush (850 t5 '96) on friday but i noticed that it wasn't shifting as good as before so today i checked the oil level and it was max on the cold side of the dipstick but i had been driving for an hour!!!

i rang volvo up and i have to take it back to get some more oil put in but could anything have been damaged while the oil was low??? if so is volvo liable???

i have done about 100 miles with the oil low!!!
