fuel consumption 850 1995

My wife has a 95 855 GLT with the normally aspirated engine and I have
a 98 S70 T5M (turbo). The milage is close if you can resist using the
turbo. Use the turbo a lot and it gets lower milage. So, it really depends
on how you drive. But, the difference is really small enough to ignore
(keeping your tires properly inflated is probably a bigger milage issue as
well as driving habits).

On long highway trips (where the turbo is not used much) the T5
returns about 1MPG less then the normally aspirated GLT. Note that
my T5 has a manual transmission so it may be more like 1.5 MPG
with an automatic transmission.

One of the nice things about small turbo charged engines is you do
get decent milage and have power on tap.
