ICM to MFI: Do not think a pump issue 850

Hi Dan,

Going through AllData.com manual is like maze and some links has no description just resistance values (example: computer/fuel system relay)!

Here is some info,

When the ignition key is in II position, the MFI (Fuel Injection System?) module will operate the fuel pump relay for about a second to develop fuel pressure and enabling the car to be started. I doubt your fuel pump will be effected due to this curb jump.

Unless there is a speed signal (Crankshaft or RPM speed?) from the ICM (Ignition Control Module), the fuel pump relay will not remain energized and the fuel pump will stop.

Ronjon
