AC Cut Out very Often even at 80s 850 1995

My AC started to cut out very often since this Monday. Initially, I thought that it could be the outside temperature was too high (around 90s). However, today is about 81 - 83 outside and not humid at all. My AC still cut out very often especially in slow traffic. At highway speed, I could hear the AC relay kicking on and off. Every other kick from the AC relay, I could hear a high pitch hiss sound. This hiss sound happened about 70% of the times.

The evaporator & dryer was replaced last April as a kit in Volvo dealer. I hope that it is not the evaporator again!!! Last time, VIP covered the cost, I only paid $25.00 deductible. Now, VIP was over, I am paying real $$$$. Could it be the thermal switch as mentioned in another post ? If it is, then does the compressor need to be replaced as well ??

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng
