Relay, RPM sensor and etc. 850

I do not know what to tell you, Dan. I am going through the service manual. I am no expert.

Wallygi explained how to check the fuel pump. Maybe you need to see if the fuel pump is ok.

Relays are on/off switches engaged by voltage. If there is no voltage, a relay will not open or close (on or off). A common cause of relay failure is, when it gets sticky and it will sometimes close (to on position) and sometimes not, when a voltage is applied to get it to close).
RPM sensor location:

AllData.com service manual problem: I looked at two pictures and one diagram. My take is that the diagram is labeled wrong (it switched Camshaft position sensor and RPM sensor).

The pictures shows, it is on the distributor side of the engine (rear side of the engine). If you are looking at the rear side on the engine, it is right between the heater hose and the radiator hose. If you look down from the distributor cap position, it is before you reach the radiator hose.

You may try AllData.com subscription and print as much you can in a year ($25/year). It is the best $25 I have ever spent.

I never had problem with the fuel pump.
