Having just spent $1200, why not just take it back and leave it there until they fix it? They should be able to duplicate the problem and fix it IF the person doing the work knows his AC stuff.


Just a thought BUT how good is your engines t-stat? Does the AC only cut out after the engine gets hot? Is the temp guage reading slightly above normal?

If the engine temp gets too high (sticking t-stat, bad radiator fan or controler, the engines ECU will shut the AC compressor off to prevent overheating by design.
