Warm Engine Hard Start (intermittent) 850 1996

I’ve got an 850 that has been wonderful but for one thing. Every so often, and only after running – the car will not turn over. It will crank all day but never seems to get a spark. I had someone replace the fuel pump relay and that solved the problem for about 4 months. But now it’s back. There seems to be no real pattern to the problem. Weather or trip all seem unrelated, it always starts in the morning but has problems if you take it somewhere and leave it for a while (store, concert etc. etc.) Any ideas? It’s got 85,000 miles and otherwise is well maintained; really it’s in great shape!
