PUlling codes S70 1998

OK, I bought a connector from obd-2.com and finally got it, hooked it up and got a code $17. Anyone have any ideas on this? I also have the haynes manual from the UK and it is fairly funny to read (hood=bonnet, etc) but no info on codes.

Anyone offer any suggestions on this code or where I can find info about it?

This seems to be a problem that has happened to previous owner who spent $1k on the fix which included new gas cap, new air pump, new air pump sensor, etc. But, I think it is something else.......obviously!
