Synthetic or Mineral Oil?? 850

Dear All

Was wondering if anyone recommends making the change from mineral to synthetic oil or not?

If so what is a good brand and what viscocity/api do you recommend?

Also the manual calls for API SC - SG, what is a higher rating than this, I don't know how API works!!

The motor has done 118,000 miles on mineral oil. Is it worth changing to synthetic from the point of view of the motor lasting longer?
