Car suddenly dies....any sugguestions V70-XC70 1998

Hi guys

Last week my check engine light came on along with my service light. Now my car is suddenly loosing power and dies while at a stop light at least once a day. I have to put my car in neutral and restart the car to get it going again. The car has electrical power when it dies, leaving me to believe that the battery is OK. I buy gas from the same place I've always buy from and my gas cap is tight. My car is presently at 73K and I have not had my schedule 70K maintenance service yet.

Would a bad O2 sensor cause this problem? My car drives and idle normally. My car has no other symptoms.

I am due for a schedule service checkup next week and I want to appear smart. What questions should I ask?

Thanks,
Maya
