more AC compressor tales........ 850 1996

I've done this mod on my car a year ago when the clutch coils were weak and its still working just fine now. I dunno what you are asking.... there is only one wire feeding into the compressor - only it goes thru a black plastic sandwich diode then goes into the compressor body thru the superheat switch inside and back out of the body before feeding into the coil. If you need to,the superheat switch can be bypassed without cutting or soldering by just using the connectors clipped to the side of the compressor. Its cramped to get your fingers in but it can be done.

If you cut and use the compressor feed to activate a relay instead then you can supply the compressor straight from the battery which means around 14v with the engine running... should make the clutch click.
