Wheels rubbing. I know tire to big! 850

I purchased a set of rims that comewith tire to big, as a result they rub.Once these tires wear out I will buy a size smaller in both width and side wall height. But until this time I have a set of tires that are just short of brand new. Is their anything I can do to stop the rubbing, the rubbing is in the fender well on the plastic liner.
By the way the rims are from a XC-90 they look great.
