rear head rest removal? S70 1998

Hi-

I have a 1998 S70 T5. The booster seat I selected for my 4 year old rides on the back seat head rest and prevents the back of the booster seat from sitting flush against the seat. According to the booster seat installation instructions, this is an unsafe installation.

Has anyone successfully removed the rear head rests (right or left, not center) in such a way as to allow future re-installation (ie no damage, cutting, etc) when necessary? I called my volvo service dept, they said they don't think it could be done.

Thanks
Joe
