Heated seat temperature sensor 850 1996

Not sure about your '96 but it's definitely true for my '98. I didn't believe the dealer at first either but have since found out that it's true. Mine will heat up when ambient temps are in the low 50's. A Volvo tech later confirmed this for me after I learned it firsthand. He told me they'll only function under 54°F.
