Tech help re right half axle support bearing 850

Need some input from any techs out there. Am planning to replace the support bearing and inner and outer cv boots on my '96 855 turbo. Ordered the parts from my dealer, and have them in hand. The bearing is Volvo part number 3502019. It seems odd to me that the axle diameter at the boot ends is approx 1 inch, but the bearing I have has a center diameter of approx 1 and 3/4 inches. Does the axle expand significantly at the site of the bearing to fit this large bearing, or is there an adapter on the axle to bring it up to size, or have I been given the wrong bearing?

Many thanks for your help in advance,

Perry
