bitten by the volvo bug again! have questions about the 855 850

I actually just picked up a 97 t5 with 134k, and so far its great. Need to get it into the Mechanic for a professional "check up." I paid 6200 for mine. As was mentioned, 134k can be a problem, but I was able to verify the maintenance, actually talked to the mechanic who had been taking care of it for the last 90k.

I would say that is the key. If it has been maintained, then your getting a good deal. If not, you never know.

Be sure to check the usual stuff, especially check for leaks at the rear main seal (I'm sure you have read up on that).

As for the HP difference, I believe that more powerfull engine wasn't a model year issue, but a T5 vs. T5R difference.
