Horsepower S80 1999

Nonamer,

You could go the route of a cat back exhaust(Muffler), or spend the $$ on a less restrictive down pipe. Plus a K&N airfilter. I would estimate only a 5-7 HP gain on a 2.9 with these mods.... Not cheap, tho....

Other than that a 40-50 HP shot of Nitrous would work fine on this engine. ZEX, N2O Express, and all the others will make a kit that can be plumbed in a few hours. If you are serious about the Nitrous, get the throttle switch which will only arm the systen when you are up in th revs, potentially saving the engine from being sprayed at to low if an RPM.

I will say that the T-6 has a much better starting point in terms of HP, but with some creativity, you can have T-6 POWER+ WITH SMALL MONEY.

Good Luck!
