Daytime running lights (DRL's) V70-XC70 2003

It's a software update the dealer has to perform. But wy turn 'em off, for heaven's sake? They seriously cut daytime collisions and more importantly, they dramatically reduce pedestrian injuries. The late models like yours pulse the high beam to effectively resemble 60% power. You will NEVER burn out the lamp with this kind of system...and your tail lights and instrument lights are off. (In my 1998 S70, I had to hardwire my foglights to get the same result - forward low power lights on, everything else off.) My advice? Do the right thing. Leave 'em on.
