For one, I too work at a dealer and have for about 20 yrs. As for the LED, in '94 they don't flash during programming so IF you have the right remote, it'll program IF done correctly. The flashing LED during programing came about in later years.

Many times I see when people come in and often get the wrong remote by the parts guys because if they can't match one by PN, they can easily guess wrong. Whenever I get involved, it's the wrong remote and when given the right remote, it works.

Do you presently have 1 remote that works? If so, have a parts guy match it by the #s on the working remote.

Having a bad control unit receiver is a rare thing and that'd be your only other option if you're certain that you must have the correct remote.
