AirMix 850 1995

Resently I had some work done on my car. It has come to my attention that the dash was removed. The problem is that the AIRMIX knob no longer works. It seems to be open about halfway. My question is whether or not I can reconnect this on my own or should I make an appointmet with the person who last work on my car. I do have some lights out in the dash so I was thinking when I replaced the bulbs I could possible reattach the Airmix knob. Any suggestions.
