Getting to the upper rear shock mounts in '98 V70 V70-XC70 1998

1. Remove both floor compartment doors and spare tire cover.

2. Sit down facing the rear bumper, look below the remaining floor behind the seats. You'll see screw heads right underneath it, they are not the easiest screws to find. Remove the screws. Slide the remaining floor panel out of the way. You may need to remove the little panels on the left and right (I can't remember about those)

3. You'll see shock mounts right under there. Good luck with the shock replacement project (I hope you went with Bilsteins - I love mine!)

Alex
