ETS light coming on erratically. V70-XC70

My first attempt at a post appears to be blank.

I had a series of problems on a '99 V70 T5 and one them was the ETS light coming on at start up aqnd failing to go out but with no apparent effect on performance. Other gremlins were intermittent bulb out flash on braking, computer resetting miles\mpg to zero and once the clock rest to midnight.

The battery died about 4 months ago and since the new one was installed, not a single fault or error has been displayed. Voltage stability appears to be critical on the V70 series and the draw-down on start-up can freak out the computers.
