As the A-pillar mount is a safety hazard (head injuries, ruptured airbags) I elected to put mine in the bay just forward of the shifter. I removed the ashtray. For the A-pillar mount, many people I know use epoxy to fasten it to the pillar.

I'll replace the VDO later this month with an indiglo gauge....that should be really cool. Then I can look for a way to re-design the VDO unit to something more functional and more to my liking. (Stay tuned.)
