S80 T6 Trans problems S80 1999

Your only hope is that maybe someone else (another dealer or?) can find a cheaper alternative, like perhaps your problem isn't as bad as you're being told and that there "might be" a better, cheaper alternative. In another S80 trans thread, someone claimed that an independant trans shop fixed theirs for about $600. That seems unlikely to me BUT if someone can do that and the trans shifts OK long enough to sell it, it'd be a worthwhile option IMO.
