Seriously....................................... V70-XC70 2001

yes, I'm a tech. Starting with the '01 wagons, Volvo must have decided that life was too easy before so they made it almost impossible to replace those bulbs with ease. Yes, the speaker must be removed for the upper bulb. The others are also no fun IMHO. One needs extreme patience and alot of manual dexterity, something that my aging hands are losing by the year. Pay close attention to the position that the bulb sockets are when removing because otherwise you'll have a very hard time re-installing it. Even then, it's no joy. You need to push in fairly hard in the right position and turning it isn't easy either. They could have opened that space up a bit but no, that'd just make life better.
I'd love to meet the guys who dream up things like that. Another guy I'd like to meet and punch is "Mr new Volvo aircleaner", the guy who invented the poorly designed newer Volvo (S80s, S60s, '01 on up V70s) aircleaner boxes.
