SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE IN WINTER MODE IN THE TRANNY, IT BYPASSES LOWER GEARS AND STARTS OUT IN THIRD I THINK, DO YOU HAVEW A YELLOW ARROW LITE ON THE DASH?

PUT THE SWITCH BACK IN SPORT OR ECON MODE WITH THE CAR TURNED OFF, START IT UP AND SEE IF YOU HAVE THE LOW GEARING AGAIN, SWITCH MAY BE STUCK OR SOMETHING.

THE SOUND YOU ARE HEARING MAY BE THE ANTI LOCK BREAKS SENSOR WHICH IS ACTIVATED AT ABOUT 15 MPH, OTHERS HAVE REPORTED HEARING THE ANTI LOCK, AND IT IS NOT A PROBLEM.
