stalling 400

Hi to all.My 440 VOLVO runs perfect but with air conditioning on sometimes it stalls.Also when i press the clutch with my foot (with a/c on) the revs drop very fast as if the system has very high pressure and is relieved when i press the clutch.The a/c seems to work fine,cold air is coming out,although it takes longer to cool the cabin.It could just be the warmer climate,i live in greece.I heard something about the a/c clutch but i am very confused.Please help.
