Alpine MP3 changer + Noobie stuff.... S70

None of the stock volvo head units can play MP3s. They can read standard burned CD's that have files in the .cda format, but not in the .mp3 format. I believe Oak was burning off .mp3 files, but many software programs will convert the .mp3 files to .cda on the fly. That would explain why he was surprised you can fit more than 99 .mp3 songs on to one disk. The stock head unit can control the Alpine CD changer which can read .mp3 files. So the stock head unit can only control a MP3 changer, not play mp3 format its self.
