Best place to purchase the plastic upper engine mount? 850

www.ipdusa.com is a good choice for parts-great availability.

Poly urethane is a much harder durometer material than the stock rubber. It will transmit much more "engine startup vibration" through the sheetmetal fire wall / dashboard area.
I will continue to use the stock rubber mount-bought a spare just in case I need another down the road.
The engine floats on 3 mounts. I suggest you stick with the top rubber mount, low cost & easy to replace and engineered by Volvo to provide a smooth deflection. Let this top mount fail first, instead of forcing the other 2 remaining rubber mounts (very expensive mounts) to absorb all deflection.
Tip to long mount life: Bring the vehicle to a final holding stop by the emergency brake. Power shifting, throwing it into Park after parking on a uphill downhill will ruin any mount).
The 850 has a high labor value to correct any behind the dash repairs, rattles, etc. (vulnerable and costly is the AC evaporator, $1200.00-$1600.00).
