Timing Belt Tension 850 1995

I am about to replace my timing belt for the second time. Have 140,000 miles on the 95 non-turbo 850. I did not have a concern about the condition of the belt tension or tensioner at 70,000 (the first time). Should I at 140,000? I do not have the special tool to check tension. Can a serpentine or v belt tension tester be used? Does any one know the history on the 850 belt tensioner? Is there any documentation regarding failure, or expected or historical life? Any discussion or help on this item is appreciated. Happy Motoring. HHSIII
