Cargo Barrier Net Install. 850 1995

Rick,

If Volvo didn't change their design between 855 and V70, then you definitely need the hardware especially the ones to be installed to the 2 side of the roof trims. These hardware allow the nets to be pull up and held in place to the roof. I assume that the net which you are going to get comes with the metal bar that goes thru the top edge of the net. That metal bar hangs on to the 2 piece of hardware in each side of the roof.

I installed the metal grill rather than the net in my 855. I considered the nets first but that was more expensive than the metal grill. So I bought the metal grill from dealer. The metal grill can be folded up against the roof when not needed. It has 2 gas strut to hold it in place. The gas struts are installed to the 2 side of the roof trims - the same location as the net's metal bar goes.
