Buying 2004 C70 - Any Advice? C70 2000

I've got a 2000 c70 conv. w/ 34,000 miles on it, and here's my experience-

I love the car, although being a convertible its roof does make a bit of squeaking here and there these days. After owning/driving other convertibles, I actually find the level of wind & exterior noise to be acceptable with the top up...for a convertible.

issues, good & bad:

-3 window regulators go bad, fortunately covered under warranty.
-slight top alignment problem, had to be readjusted.

my car has the 17" rims, and the car does have kind of a rocky ride. Not the stiff, firm Porsche-like suspension, more of just a SLAM over certain bumps. I put Bilstein shocks on the front, but it really didn't seem to help the situation much...perhaps I'll try new springs. Maybe the smaller wheels ultimately lend themselves better for this car. Otherwise, the car handles great for something this heavy, with only a little body lean.

I always drive with the daytime lights on, and to date have never changed a single bulb. I drive over 9 minutes a day to work and back.

the seats are the MOST comfortable of any car you'll drive! Like driving a La-z-Boy.

beware the rinky-dink cup holders, unless they've engineered these better in the last couple of years, they're a bit lame & breakable, but function. Avoid tall cups.

THE STEREO SOUNDS AWESOME! Although it's a bit ergonomically aged (funky 3 cd cartridge, no steering wheel controls).

Give or take all of this, I love my car and plan on driving it forever. But if I bought a new convertible, I might have to give the Audi A4 a good look too, I hear it's supposed to be as solid as a rock.

I had an accident in it about a year ago (ran off the road) and realized if I was in a smaller car, I possibly could have been injured. Instead, it was merely a very rough ride in a soft leather cocoon with Dobly 5.1 surround sound...and waiting a month to get it back all fixed!

Personally, I decided on a used C70 convertible because:
a) it was in near-new condition w/ 14,000 miles on it
b) they change very little, if anything, in the year-to-year models
c) it still has the warranty on it anyway
d) they tend to PLUNGE in value (as it really shouldn't be a $50,000 car anyway).
