Tire Feathering 850 1996

I have a 96 855T with Pierelli P7000 Supersport tires. I've always had problems (regardless of tire brand) with the rear tires feathering (a diagonal stripes of uneven wear) from the inside out to about 1/2 was across the tire. I get all four wheels aligned with every tire change to the factory specs but still have the uneven wear. Eventually the tires drone very loudly. The place that does my tires and alignment says I need to rotate my tires more often, but then I would be rotating about every 3000 mile which seems like alot.

Is there a "best" specs to use when aligning the wheels? How often does everyone rotate your tires? Do you have problems with uneven wear?

Eric
