brake squeal 850

I have a 96 850 turbo wagon. I have done the brakes twice and both times I've put on stock rotors with PBR metal master brake pads. Both times after about 6 to 7 hundred miles I get intence brake squeal. I've tried the goo that you put on the back of the pads, but it doesn't work. I did the brakes on my brothers 99 S70 and had the same result. His mechanic said it was because the pads weren't stock volvo pads, but I've used PBR pads on 240's and 740's with great results and no squeal. Is there and solution?
Thanks
Mike
