Oh, you know. Typical Volvo/Euro stuff. S70

So far, knock on wood, nothing between when I bought it at 62K miles and now, 118K miles. The ABS controller was replaced at my request when I bought it because it's a known issue with 1998's. Another major possibility includes the evaporator - start putting stop leak in the a/c system right away as a preventive measure. It's an easy DIY kind of thing.

Basically, though, it's not a Japanese car, and not everyone's experience matches mine. Expect to spend some time tinkering because that's the European ethos. They don't know any other way, and at $5/gallon, they probably just don't rack up the miles like Americans. (And if they do rack up the miles, I don't know how they can afford it.) This is my fifth Volvo, and it matches my experience with the others, except for the bulletproof 94 945T.

I recently test-drove the new Accord, suspension supposedly tuned to a European sensibility. Not impressed. And I needed help gettingĻout of the seat after a 45-minute ride as the seat was pretty uncomfortable for my back. Since I'm insanely happy with my S70T5 still, I think I'll keep it for awhile.
