T5 Jerks Btwn 1st & 2nd V70-XC70 1998

I have a automatic 1998 T5 V70 with 40K on it. I Bought it used from a Volvo dealer last year with 20K on it. It jerks or "grabs" when shifting between 1st
and 2nd and less so between 2nd and 3rd. It does NOT jerk if I start off from
a stop slowly (under 2k revs) however.

The dealer told me when I bought it that the T5 had a more aggressive shifting pattern than other V70's & that I should drive it harder (does not help).
They did acknowledge that the shifting was too pronounced.

They did a transmission software update and checked the transmission over
and came up with nothing. They thought it might work itself out after the transmsission software update. It has not.

The car has a warranty and they are willing to try and fix the problem.
They seem at a loss as to what the problem is though.

The car is great aside from this bothersome issue.

Perhaps someone can advise. Thanks, Ray W
