In some ways my 850 turbo wagon is great, on freeways where the surface is smooth - excellent, in town where the roads are poor it is a pain in the ass - literally! Mine has the sports suspension, which must be the worst idea Volvo ever had. I had a Saab 9000 turbo before this and the ride was superb, and the performance as good as the Volvo if not better, why Volvo had to think that if you make the thing as hard as a board it would be better, beats me.
However the seats are the best (other than the ones in my '94 940!). Maintenance costs are high - but all 850 owners know that. Would I buy another one? No way! Nest time I guess it will have to be a Honda!
