I have a 1997 850R that I absolutely love. I will caution you that routine maintenance bills have been fairly high (I have all work done at the dealer, and I'm sure they are sticking it to me). I spent about $1800 to fix my A/C yesterday. But I plan on keeping it for a very, very long time. The reason I bought my car is that it is nice enough to valet, but not so nice that I don't feel comfortable throwing the dogs in and taking them to the vet (though we bought a V70 for that). My car has been extremely reliable (except for going thru a fair number of tires and wheels). It's great for a road trip or just my daily commute. Hope this helps.
