Front end is loose

My 2000 V70 has a few issues with the front end:

1. There seems to be a rattle when I go over bumps, even if the bumps are not very large.
2. There is a soft clunking I hear at low speeds. This is especially noticeable if I drive on a cobblestone street.
3. When I grab the front tires on the side, at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position, I am able to move the wheel from side to side. When I do this the steering wheel does not move and it just feels too loose. The wheel and the brake rotor move when this happens.

I have mentioned these items to my dealer, who reports back that everything is fine. The dealer is far from thorough, but the car is under warranty.
