Handbrake adjustment on V70 V70-XC70

Just did a complete brake job on my V70. In the process, I backed off the rear hand brake shoes star adjuster as it appeared wheel assembly was dragging to much on shoes. I did this while the rotors were off. Now I have hardly any forward movement handbrake hold, and non in reverse. I've adjusted the lever adjustment all I can (torx screw accessed in glove box). How do I get to the star adjusters without disassembly of rotors, etc. Do I pull out the ABS sensors, leaving a hole to get to the star wheel adjuster? If so, whats the drill? Tighten up untill the wheel is frozen and then back off so many clicks? Any advise or direction to an appropriate web page would be appreciated.
Thanks, Gene
