Upper cooling hose used good price & replacement help 850

Brick brothers,

I busted up my upper cooling hose. It rigged with splices and hose clamps (moving the in line filter to lower cooling hose).

Now it is replacement time so that original play (engine to frame) can be restored.

Installation question
At the transmission side of the hose, it has a hex nut and the hose seems connected with another one. Do I need to hold the transmission-hex nut and twist the hose-hex nut to take it off? Please let me know.

Pricing
RCR junkyard (pretty big one) in CA has ridiculous price ($80). I think a new one is $120. Can anyone line me up with a decent price?

Thanks.
