i have this code at the moment, it occured during a 2500km trip to dc from canada last weekend (including a 38 mph over speeding ticket and a $100 parking ticket!). i have checked the lines and elbows that connect to the evaperator container, all look good. also i verified the selenoid opens after about 20 minuets of idle to alow vacuum to enter the container. i am wondering if some how the charcol canister can somehow go bad and if this is the source of the problem. i have been experiencing poor fuel economy for a while (before the light came on) and every so often when the car has idled for a while it will become speratic even stalling. so if anyone has any experience they can relate i would appreciate it. also i can not seem to clear the code either.

by the by, i will not be paying those tickets. if i ever have to head towards virgina of dc i will drive around. i mean $100 for an expired meter?, and why would a highway have a speed limit of 50 mph? (all to see a girl)
