keyless entry and remote CD 850 1997

I just bought a 850, and have two (simple) questions.

1) I was handed a keyless remote, changed the batteries, but it still won't work, any suggestions?

2) the car has a tape/cd/ radio system, there is a button on the radio for a changer. Can I install one, where are the hook-ups? What type of changer will work in my brick?
