engine valves clicking S70

No, it's a problem of defective, poor quality oil sump and filter related o-rings that fail inside the oil pan thus loss of oil pressure to the valve train, etc. Volvo really out-did themselves with that one as the o-rings crumble and distort on engines ('99 -?) at about 60K or so miles.
The new o-rings are better quality, re-designed.
I'd suggest taking it to a dealer as they have the info and parts on that.
