Replace Entire A/C System? S70 1998

My A/C system failed to operate after I put a can Interdynamic sealer and conditioner in my A/C system. Both low pressure & high pressure sensors were replaced and the system was recharged. It still not working. I tried to jumper the AC relay and it caused a poping sound and smoke from the compressor area. I brought the car to the dealer last week. At first they wanted to replace the compressor and the orifer tube. After they removed the compressor from the car and they removed the "popped" valve in the compressor, they saw some greenish substance. They suspected someone put some selant in the system and cause the compressor to fail ( I did not tell them what I did). They decide not to replace the compressor and put everything back. They claim the entire system must be replaced in order to work.

Is there anything else beside replacing the entire system to fix my mistake? please help!
