Really another first year car S80 1999

Your S70 might have the same drivetrain, suspension as the 850 but it's otherwise also a first year car for that model which is why it too was a very problematic year, like the '99 S80s.

So far, the S60 has been about the only newer Volvo in years that didn't have its share of problems but by then, it's shared S80 technology had improved too.
The S/V40s havent been too bad either. Too soon to comment on the XC90s.
