Engine racing when in park or stopped in drive V70-XC70 2003

The RPMs in my 2003 V70-T occasionally (about once every 3-4 days) shoot up to an alarming 6-7K immediately upon putting the car in park, or sometimes even just stopping at a light. It lasts for anywhere from 2 to 12 seconds and then all is normal. I've taken it to 2 dealerships, both of which so far have not reproduced or diagnosed the problem. Does anybody have any experience with this?
