AC Compressor removal 850 1994

Any tips on how to remove the AC compressor? (I have to change it because the clutch is seized & broke the serpentine belt. I can't locate a shorter belt to bypass the AC.)
Looks like it comes out by removing the AC receiver-dryer, but maybe it is better to remove alternator & power steering? Also is ther a trick to bleeding the fluid. I dont intend to replace the R134 until next summer (if ever!, so sorry Ozone layer.
(Don't know why my last post was blank.)
